Another Emergency Power Solution for the URMC at Golisano Children’s Hospital

At the University of Rochester’s Medical Center (URMC), Core Engineered Solutions has been involved in several of the recent builds and upgrades, and after successfully wrapping up the mission critical fuel system at the James P. Wilmont Cancer Center it was no surprise that Core was asked back to complete the fuel system at the hospital’s new build at the Golisano Children’s Hospital.

Core Engineered Solutions provided a 20,000-gallon Glasteel II underground storage tank outfitted with a remote filling station, OMNTEC Tank Gauging System, SafeSite Fuel Oil Filtration System, and submersible turbine pumps for fuel transfer. In addition, Core was responsible for the fuel oil control scope where we provided our SafeSite Fuel Oil Control panel along with three factory-assembled fuel oil day tanks at each emergency generator complete with return pumps, control devices and panels for local system control.

Core Engineered Solutions also provided project management as well as engineering services throughout the system installation and continues to provide annual system inspections and service at all of the Universities fueling systems.
