Core Helps Increase Capacity at Wastewater Treatment Plant

The town of La Plata, MD received a grant to increase wastewater treatment capacity from 1 to 1.5 million gallons per day to accommodate future development. The project included the safe storage of methanol for water treatment. The town in Maryland selected ConVault tanks for their high degree of safety storing methanol that is used to lower nitrogen levels for improving the water quality in rivers and bays downstream from plants. The storage systems feature stainless steel fittings and valves, flame arrestors, pressure vacuum vents, and digital monitoring. Aluminum stairs and tank top railings provide fall protection for maintenance workers.

Core supplied 8K ConVault AST, stainless steel valves and vent, aluminum stairs with handrails and aluminum tank top fall protection. Omntec OEL8000 monitoring/gauging system furnished for monitoring/gauging. Complete start-up and training included in supply scope. Installation performed by owner’s contractor.
