Core Provides Backup Emergency Power Solution for Massachusetts Water Authority

The Massachusetts Water Resource Authority is responsible for providing and removing hundreds of millions of gallons of water daily throughout the State, primarily in the most densely populated regions near Boston. To do so they utilize a network of pumping stations throughout these areas, all of which require constant, uninterrupted power supplies.

When considering upgrades to their emergency power fueling systems at the Hingham and Quincy Pumping Stations, they once again chose Core Engineered Solutions to assist with the design and supply of all fueling components.

Core worked with the engineer of record and owner to design reliable emergency power fueling systems to fit within the constraints of the existing buildings footprint. Core provided a 2,000-gallon factory-assembled ConVault aboveground storage tank with all appurtenances, factory-plumbed remote filling station and Veeder-Root Automatic Tank Gauging System.

Core was also responsible for the fuel oil day tank – prepackaged with our SafeSite Fuel Oil Control (FOC) Panel as well as supply and return pumps to transfer products between the tanks.
